Beat umbra warframe1/23/2024 This is a major design flaw in regard of new players. ![]() People will get to Sacrifice in probably one week of /played, with the most difficult content they've ever encountered being Sentients (that can be one-shotted with some frames, you don't need Operators). Once again you're talking about people "rushing" to reach Sacrifice. ![]() If you're completely new to this game at this point, there is no way you will understand you need to kill hundreds of Eidolons and spend WEEKS grinding for Focus Points to be able to not struggle completely against a part of Sacrifice. There is probably like 10 hours of game-time between TSD and Sacrifice, during which there is NO hint of what you're supposed to do to have a powerful Operator. The design of Umbra's encounters in this quest is problematic, mainly because the Sacrifice arrives soon after The Second Dream and The War Within, where you're introduced with your Operator and Focus Schools. Was MR23 at the time, with Warframe-oriented passive focuses (I was playing at a time where Operators were useless, so my few millions of points I had when focus 2.0 arrived were spent ignoring Operator passive completely), your restriction wouldn't change S#$. I stopped Warframe for a year and am replaying since a few days before Sacrifice. you know what you should do if you want a game to be something completely different? play something different.Thats probably becouse you have 0 investment in amp/focus.I feel like DE should implement a mr restriction on most of the quests so ppl would not rush the content and not get in situations like yours but then again you don't even need to unlock the planet in witch a mission is located at to complete the quest. they surely would remake half of the game just for you because you want to play bloodborne. Something kind of like bloodborne but with the movment of warframe ask the devs. I was thinking of stuff like remakeing the bosses so that they are more aggressive and fast while getting rid of there invincibility. That's especially why I enjoy the Umbra fighting, since it asks you to do it as an Operator which is a completely different set up than our standard Warframe scaling. It was always sourced from the power creep problem. I don't think this game is structured at all to ever be able to cater to that, as cool as it would be.Ĭompletely frankly, the game has always had a poor reputation for its boss design. I dont want it to be easiy I just want the combat to flow better like blood borne for example You can go and build an Amp and pour some points into your Focus school and come back to make it easier on yourself.īut hey, if your criticism is "I have to fight this guy for more than 3 seconds while also dodging his attacks, so it's bad game design", you and your complaint thread ought to just be ignored entirely.īut hey, if your criticism is "I have to fight this guy for more than 3 seconds while also dodging his attacks, so it's bad game design", you and your complaint thread ought to just be ignored entirely. And either way, to reiterate, you're not obliged to complete it immediately, you're not locked in like the War Within. Some people, mostly newer, did not have the time waiting for the Sacrifice update to prepare, but on the other side of the coin, plenty of us were here waiting for the update and had that time to prepare. I know it's a two sided argument as all are. You're not obliged to finish the quest immediately right then and there, you can stop and go prepare via focus farming and trying to build up an amp. And again, if you're the one who isn't prepared, that's on you. The situation you're describing sounds pretty fine, moving through the room trying to avoid his attacks while shooting him. As opposed to either A: instantly killing/beating them with a press of a button as we usually do with our frames ( and can definitely do as an operator if we are prepared), or B: standing in each other's faces trying to out-DPS the other? If you have to fight something for more than 3 seconds it becomes an awkward dance of throwing yourself around the level peppering them with damage until they go down grinding the game to a halt. ![]() Originally posted by UnlivingEnd:Fights in this game have no flow.
